Detailed description is Del Norte High School is a public high school located in the 4S Ranch community of San Diego, California, United States.
It is part of the Poway Unified School District.
The campus has finished construction, and it covers 210093sqft of land.HistoryDel Norte opened on August 20, 2010.
Its principal is Greg Mizel, the former principal of Mesa Verde Middle School.
During its first year, Del Norte is expected to have approximately 700 students in order to create a personalized learning experience.
Also notable is the absence of juniors and seniors, as the first year will only contain freshmen and sophomores.
The expected student population after the first few years is approximately 2,250 students.On May 13, 2014, the Bernardo Fire broke out near the school, leading to the evacuation of 21,000 nearby houses.CurriculumDel Norte has expressed interest in adding the International Baccalaureate (IB) program to its curriculum, but this idea is still only under consideration.
