Detailed description is Dawg Days welcomes the freshman class to SIU with the purpose of giving them an opportunity to have fun, make friends, and learn more about life at SIU! This upcoming summer, Touch of Nature, the Rec Center and the Rec Department are teaming together once again to host Dawg Days Freshman Retreat 2017.
The mission of our program is to help students build lasting connections to peers and the Heartland region by sharing with them the spirit and traditions of Southern Illinois University.
As a program entering into its third season, we are beyond excited to be offering the traditional program for the class of 2021.
The program is a four day and three night residential camp experience for incoming freshman hosted at Touch of Nature Environmental Center.
Attending Dawg Days Freshman Retreat is the perfect start to an incoming Saluki’s collegiate career and joining the family of SIU.
