Detailed description is for bookings - [email protected] 2009 Danny hit the road with his self-produced debut E.P "Too cold for the crickets". Recorded in his small rainforest studio on the Atherton tableland, his first tour took in theatre shows and festivals down the east coast, including Kuranda Roots, Cairns Blues Festival, Yungaburra, Island Vibe, Mullum Fest and Shine on. Supporting guitar greats Bob Brozman, Harry Manx and The Backsliders were also highlights of this period.. . 2010 saw a relocation to Sydney and an unexpected collaboration with childhood friend and Berlin based electronic producer The Immigrant, (aka Jon Henderson). Recorded in a shed in the N.S.W southern highlands, their first single "Through the wire" was released by Sydney electronic label OneLove and was immediately added to to Triple J's "Hit List", receiving solid airplay for over a year. The unique combination of dark, euro-electro and lucid, folk/blues vocals proved to capture a wide audience. Together the "Capricorn" EP was released mid 2011 and the second single "Summer of Love [she said]" proved to be a favourite for international D.J's, with the single remaining in the A.R.I.A club chart for four months, peaking at number 8. The song was heavily featured on MTV, Rage and Channel V, the latter adding it to their annual compilation release. The third single "Day out of time" was premiered on Triple J's "Home and Hosed" with a remix by W.A drum and bass powerhouse Shockone enjoying rotation on Triple J, the U.K's BBC1 and several stations across Europe.. . At the end of 2011, Danny stepped back from songwriting and vocalist duties with his mate The Immigrant and began tracking for his first full length album at Studios 301, Byron Bay. Based in Byron for a while by this time, the sessions featured support from friends Charles Wall (Bobby Alu, Oka), Si Durrington (The Bird, Red Bantoo) and the irrepessible Jake Savona (Mista Savona), who became production mentor and has remained involved in the editing and mixing process for this upcoming release.. A deeply moving, distinctly engaging performer, Danny is an artist truly evolving within his craft - exploring and uniting diverse genres and ideas.
