This page is operated by me, Jared!. . I ran collegiate Cross Country for four years; I then coached my own NCAA athletes for five additional years and obtained USATF Coaching Certification. Career-wise, I recently defected to the field of Linguistics (hence the Latin page name); however, distance running remains a serious part of my life.. . As a result, I use this forum to encourage friends, family, former athletes, and even complete strangers to get up and running. In runner-land, knowledge and preparation is 90% of the battle for success - so please feel free to ask questions!. . If you are interested in achieving specific running goals (learning to run, improving speed/distance, completing your first 5K, etc.) and need some one-on-one help, I also offer private training at negotiable rates. . . My coaching style is informed by both modern scientific research and years of high-stakes coaching with athletes of all skill levels.
