I was born on 1894 and given birth by Pulimuutu Aasan.
The bishop of the diocese is Rt.Rev.G.Devakadasham MA,BD,M.Th..
My District Chairman is Rev.Robert Singh MA,BD..
and the Assistant worker is Mr.Jebin Joseph BA,BD..
My members have built a Church in Vazhaikuzhi and maintaining till now.

வெங்கஞ்சி சபை வரலாறு ( HISTORY OF VENKANJI CHURCH).

சுமார் 150 வருட பழமை வாய்ந்த வரலாற்றை உடையது நம் வெங்கஞ்சி சபை.
இது பாறசாலை சபையின் போதகராய் பணியாற்றிய Rev.ஜேம்ஸ் எமலின் அவர்களது காலத்தில் அவர்களது ஊழியபலனால் உருவான ஒரு சபையாகும்.
Platinum Jubilee Souvenir of Abbs Memorial London Mission Pastorate Church, Parassala (1893 - 1968) ஆதாரப்படி 1822 ல் பாறசாலை சபை வட்டார மேலாளரக பணியாற்றிய மீட் ஐயர் 1845 ல் பாறசாலை சபை வட்டார மேலாளர் பொறுப்பை ஆப்ஸ் ஐயருக்கு கொடுத்ததால் அவர் பாறசாலையை (செறுவாரக்கோணம்) தலைமையிடமாக்கி செயல்பட்டார்.
அவர் ஊழியகாலத்தில் சுமார் பத்து ஆண்டுகளுக்குள் 77 சபைகள் பாறசாலையை சுற்றி ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டன என பாறசாலை சபையின் 75 வது வருட மேற்கூறிய மலரில் காண்கிறோம்..

1881 - 1890 க்கும் இடையில் கொல்லங்கோட்டிலுள்ள ரோமன் கத்தோலிக்க கிறிஸ்தவர்கட்கும் அவர்களது குருமாருக்குமிடையே பிரச்சனைகளும், குழப்பமும் நேரிட்டதால் L.M.S சபையோடு சிலர் சேர விரும்பினார்கள்.
அப்போது Rev.ஜேம்ஸ் எமலின் ஐயரவர்கள் வள்ளவிளை, நீரோடி ஆகிய இடங்களில் சிறு சபைகளை ஸ்தாபித்து ஆராதனை நடத்தினர்.
காலப்போக்கில் ரோமன் கத்தோலிக்க சபைகளின் வளர்ச்சி ஏற்பட்டதால் L.M.S சபைகளின் வளர்ச்சி தடை பட்டது.
வள்ளவிளையில் ஒரு தென்னந்தோப்பும் இரண்டு பாடசாலைகளும் நமது ஆதீனத்திற்கு சொந்தமாக இருந்தன.
அந்த பாடசாலை மற்றும் ஆலயம் அமைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த பகுதியை "சத்தியவேத பட்டிணம்" என்று பெயர் சூட்டினர்..

ஜேக்கப் அவர்கள் எழுதிய சரித்திர புத்தகத்தின்படி வள்ளவிளையில் ஒரு சபை 1884- ம் ஆண்டு ஆரம்பமானது.
அந்தப் பகுதியில் கல்விப்பணியும் இறைப்பணியும் செய்யும்படியாக திரு.டேவிட் சைலம் திரு M.சாமுவேல் ஆகியோரை கொல்லங்கோடு துறைக்கும் திரு.

ஜேக்கப் என்பவரை வள்ளவிளை துறைக்கும் Rev.
ஜேம்ஸ் எமலின் அனுப்பினார்.
அப்பகுதிகளை சார்ந்த இரண்டு வாலிபர்களை தேர்ந்தெடுத்து நாகர்கோவில் செமினரிக்கு இறையியல் படிக்க அனுப்பி வைத்தார்கள்.
ஆனால் அப்பகுதியில் வேரூன்றி இருந்த ரோமன் கத்தோலிக்க சபை L.M.S சபையை துன்புறுத்த ஆரம்பித்தது.
ஆகவே அங்கு ஏற்பட்ட தோல்வியின் விளைவாக நான்கு ஆண்டுகளில் அப்பாடசாலைகள் மூடப்பட்டன.
Rev.ஜேம்ஸ் எமலின் அவர்களுடைய 1888- ம் ஆண்டைய அறிக்கையின்படி வள்ளவிளைப் பகுதி மீனவர்கள் மத்தியில் ஊழியம் தோல்வி அடைந்தது.
ஆனால் அந்த ஊழியர்கள் மீனவரல்லாத மக்களிடையே பன்படுகிறது என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

இக்கால கட்டத்தில் வெங்ககஞ்சி இடவிளாகத்து மேலே தட்டு புரையிடத்தில் ஒரு புளி மரத்தின் மூட்டில் வைத்து ஒருவர் தமிழ் கற்பித்து வந்தார்.
அவரை புளிமூட்டு ஆசான் என்றே வழங்கி வந்தனர்.
புளிமூட்டு ஆசான் கிறிஸ்தவ சமயத்தில் சேர்ந்தபின் எழுத்துக்கள் கற்பிக்கின்ற போது வேத வசனங்களும் கற்பிக்கத் தொடங்கினார்.
நாளடைவில் சில இடையூறுகள் ஏற்பட்டதால் அன்றிருந்த ஐரோப்பிய மிஷனறிகளின் உதவியுடன் புன்னமூட்டுக் கடையிலிருந்து ஒரு பர்லாங் கிழக்கிலுள்ள பள்ளிவிளை என்று வழங்கப்படுகிற எழுமாவிளை என்ற இடத்தில் ஒரு சிறிய ஆலயம் கட்டுவித்து ஒரு சிறு சபை வீடும் அமைத்து, ஒரு கிணறும் வெட்டி சபை ஊழியர் ஒருவரையும் நியமித்தனர்..

இத்தருணத்தில் முன்னர் குறிப்பிட்ட வள்ளவிளை சபையும் இவ்விடத்திற்கு மாற்றப்பட்டது.
நமது பழைய ஆலய மணியில் இன்றும் வள்ளவிளை சபையின் பெயரைக் காணலாம்.
தற்போது ஆலயமும் சபை வீடும் இருக்கிற இடத்திற்கு உரிமையாளரான் பறக்கோடு குடும்பத்தினரும், ஐரோப்பிய மிஷனரிமார்களும் நல்ல நண்பர்களாகவே இருந்திருக்கின்றனர்.
எனவே மிஷனறிகளுக்கு அடிக்கடி வந்து போவதற்கான வசதிக்காக பள்ளிவிளையை பறக்கோடு குடும்பத்தாருக்கு கொடுத்து விட்டு தற்போதய ஆலய பகுதியை பெற்றுக்கொண்டனர்..

ஜோஷ்வா நோவல்ஸ் என்னும் L.M.S மிஷனறி 1880- ல் கொல்லம் வந்தடைந்தார்.
அங்கிருந்து 1890- ல் பாறசாலை வந்து சேர்ந்தார்.
1892- ல் எமிலின் ஓய்வு பெற்றதும் நோவல்ஸ் ஐயர் பாறசாலை மையத்தின் மிஷனறியாக பொறுப்பேற்றார்.
இவர் சுய சார்பு ஆயர் மண்டலங்கள் (Self Supporting Pastorates) நிறுவுவதில் மிகவும் கவனம் செலுத்தினார்..

1894- ல் இப்போது ஆலயம் இருக்கும் இடத்திற்குள் 45 அடி நீளம் 22 1/2 அடி அகலத்தில் ஒரு சிறு ஆலயத்திற்கு மறைதிரு.
நோவல்ஸ் துரை அவர்கள் அடிக்கல் நாட்டி ஆலயம் கட்டி முடித்து அதில் ஒழுங்காக நடைபெற்று வந்தன.
ஒரு சிறு சபையாக ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட வெங்கஞ்சி திருச்சபை 1936- ம் ஆண்டு பாஸ்டரேட்டாக உயர்த்தப்பட்டது.
அதன் பின் சர்க்கிள் பாஸ்டரேட்டாக உயர்ததப்பட்டது.
பாஸ்டரேட்டாக இருந்தபோது, தற்போதைய தென் கேரளா அத்தியட்சாதீனத்திலுள்ள கொடி தூக்கி, விராலி, குன்று கோயில், காக்கறவிளை, வெங்கடம்பு ஆகிய சபைகளும் குமரி மறை மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள போராங்கோடு, அருள்குன்று, மங்காடு, குளப்புறம், பள்ளிக்கல், கிராத்தூர் ஆகிய சபைகளும் இந்த சபையின் கீழ் செயல்பட்டு வந்தன..

கன்னியாகுமரி மறை மாவட்டம் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டதும், தென்கேரளா அத்தியட்சாதீனத்திலுள்ள சபைகள் பிரிந்து சென்றன.
ஒரு சில குடும்பங்களைக் கொண்டு ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட இத்திருச்சபை தேவ கிருபையாலும், சபை போதகர்களின் தன்னலமற்ற சேவையினாலும் படிப்படியாக வளர்ந்து தற்போது 850 குடும்பங்களைக் கொண்ட ஒரு பெரிய திருச்சபையாக வளர்ந்துள்ளது.
சபை வளர வளர முன்னால் இருந்த சிறிய ஆலயத்திற்குள் இட நெருக்கடி ஏற்பட்டது.
