Detailed description is I am a breeder of beautiful and healthy hand fed birds, located in Elkton, MD (USA) Hello, my name is Shanon.
I'm a small breeder of beautiful, affectionate and healthy hand fed and hand raised birds.
I breed Cockatiels, Green Cheek Conures and Crimson Bellied Conures.
I also have 6 pet birds, Piggy a Blue Headed Pionus, Bandit a Senegal, Mango a Senegal, Zanyx a Green Cheek Conure, MoeMoe a Cockatiel and Sunshine a Cockatiel.
Plus I have 2 dogs (Pooh Dog and Slate) and 4 cats (Dakoda, Zavien, Gavin and Graysi).
Below is some info about my birds/babies and their care, deposits, health guarantee, sexing, shipping, price list and more.

My breeders and babies are housed in my home year round.
Their room is kept at 75 degrees at all times.
Babies are pulled at 2 weeks old to begin hand feedings.
They're not just handled during their feedings but many other times throughout each day.
They're acclimated to everyday house hold activities, sounds, kids, dogs, cats and other birds.
My babies are never force weaned so I can't give an exact date on when they'll be ready for their new homes.
All babies are kept for 1-2 weeks after weaned, to make sure they don't regress.
The babies are weaned onto Zupreem natural pellet, ABBA seed, Nutri-Berries, Avi-Cakes, whole grain rice and pasta, steamed and fresh veggies, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, cooked chicken, oatmeal, bird bread and much more.
My breeder birds are fed the same diet.
All breeders are housed one pair per cage with many toys.
Their cages are cleaned out weekly and their room is cleaned daily.
The breeders get a yearly vet check to make sure they're still healthy.
I believe happy and healthy breeders make happy and healthy babies.

I have the right to refuse anyone that I feel will/can not properly care for a bird..

*Due to being a home based aviary, I am closed to the public.
If you're interested in placing a deposit on a baby, I will set up a visit by appointment only.
Appointments are set for Saturdays and Sundays between 1pm and 9pm.

Deposits and Payments.
A $50.00 to $200.00 (depending on bird and mutation) non-refundable deposit (cash or money order ONLY) is required for me to hold a baby until weaned.
You can either pay a cash deposit in person and meet your baby or mail a money order.
If you're mailing a deposit, I will place the baby of your choice on a temporary 7 day hold.
If the deposit is not received by the 7th day the baby is up for deposit again.
When a deposit is received the baby of your choice will be placed on a permanent hold until weaned.
Once you have a deposit on a baby you will receive weekly pictures and updates (posted on Facebook page and website) on how your baby is doing.

*You will receive a receipt for your deposit.
If the deposit is not made in person I can either mail you the receipt or message you a picture of it..
Final payment is due when you pick up your baby.
I will only hold a baby for 7 days after it's weaned and you were notified that the baby is ready to be picked up.
If the baby is not paid in full and picked up by the 7th day, a boarding fee will be added to the remaining balance.
If you no longer want the baby it's placed back for sale and you'll loose your deposit.
Boarding fees are $5 per day.
I will only board a baby for 2 weeks (14 days).
If the baby is not paid in full (including boarding) and picked up by the end of the 2 weeks (14 days), it will be posted back for sale and you'll loose your deposit..
If needed I can set up a payment schedule for you.
This is for unweaned babies ONLY.
Final payment being due on the estimated wean date.
If the schedule is not followed and the baby is not paid in full and picked up by the 7th day after weaned.
You lose all money paid and the baby will be placed for sale.

*Weaned babies and breeding pairs are first come first serve to approved homes.
I will not accept deposits or place them on hold.

Health Guarantee .
I provide a 72 hour health guarantee on all my birds, starting from the time they leave my care.
If the bird(s) is taken to an avian vet within the 72 hours (at your expense) and found unhealthy or has any other problems.
I will take the bird back and give a full refund or replace the bird if another one is available.
A copy of the vet record is required before any refund or replacement will be given.

Sexing/ DNA.
If I can't determine the sex of a bird through it's mutation/genetics.
I can have it DNA'd for you for an extra $25.
The $25 needs to be paid before the test will be sent out.

*Each hand fed baby comes with a hatch certificate, stater food of Zupreem natural pellet/ABBA seed mix, a food foraging kit from Lafeber, DNA sexing report (only if your bird was DNA'd), breeder support for the life of the bird (I encourage you to contact me with any questions or concerns) plus nail and wing trimmings ($10 for nails or wings, $15 for both) If I come to you, I will charge a small home visit fee..

*You must bring your own carrier or travel cage when you pick up your bird.

I will take the bird back, no questions asked..

*Discounts are given to returning customers or if you buy more then one baby/bird at the same time.
Discounts are not given on breeding pairs or breeder singles.
