Detailed description is In August of 1962 Cothran's Bakery began as a Shipley Donut franchise, located on Forrest Avenue, selling fresh made doughnuts to retail and wholesale customers of Gadsden and Etowah County.
In 1963, the business relocated to East Gadsden and quickly established itself as the Best Doughnut Shop in town.
In 1994, the Cothran family decided to become an independent retail bakery.
The family name was put on the marquee and the bakery as we know it today was born.
In addition to doughnuts, cakes, tortes, cookies, pies, and catering were added to the product line.
Over the years Cothran's has continued to expand its product line to include hundreds of sweets and delectable baked goods to tempt the most discerning palate.
