Upon graduation, he continued to work for the Roller family for 8 years in Little Rock. The Conners then returned to Mountain Home where John was manager of a local funeral home for 10 years. During this time John and Jackie also owned a shoe store, a home health agency and they still today own and manage High Country Motors and High Country Apartments.
