Detailed description is We are very pleased to welcome all to Aoinagi Karate Club in College Place, WA, located right next to Walla Walla University.
At Aoinagi Karate-Do we use self-defense techniques as a tool for self-development.
We work on building personal strength, stamina, flexibility, and confidence to yield peak physical and mental performance to enhance all aspects of our students' lives.

Our dojo (the training hall) is by design located on the campus of Walla Walla Valley Academy immediately adjacent to Walla Walla University.
Educational institutions (from elementary schools to universities) have played a pivotal role in popularization of karate in Okinawa, Japan and throughout the world.
Today the vast majority of schools in Japan have karate clubs with the most prominent and oldest belonging to Keio, Takushoku and Waseda Universities.
The first Aoinagi dojo was also opened on a university campus in 1972 in Loma Linda, California.
We believe that traditional martial art training can complement and enhance the students' experience at any level of study by providing the much needed physical break from the rigor of school work.
Karate training also develops such "non-academic", but still essential traits as concentration, focus and perseverance.
Finally, our karate club provides a smaller group to belong to, a place where a physical art form is studied in a fun, non-competitive and non-contact environment.
