Our Beginnings.......
Cold Spot Feeds, Inc.
was started on a whim in 1986 by Connie Core Dubay during a late night conversation regarding the need for an affordable dog food for the long-distance sled dog mushers in the area.
Connie contacted National Pet Feed and helped develop one of the first 'Performance' dog foods..
The original Cold Spot Feeds store was located in a single bedroom of Connie's Fairbanks home.
From those humble beginnings in that small bedroom, she then expanded into the garage.
Of course that did not meet her needs for long and a store was built next to the house.
Cold Spot resided in that location until early 2003, when a building was rented in the retail shopping area in town..
In 2012 Cold Spot needed more space - so we moved one last time.
Cold Spot - for Healthy Pets now resides in a beautiful 26,800 sq.
ft.
building and employs over 25 team members.
