Detailed description is Cohesion Dance Project, is a non-profit, dance production company whose mission is to enrich, inspire, and unite the community through dance. Our vision of collaborative performances and dance opportunities for dancers and non-dancers across the community began in 2012 with two productions: Rhythm Dancers, a community choreography showcase originally spearheaded by Lorna Mills, and Nutcracker on the Rocks, a rock n' roll rendition of the nutcracker choreographed by Shira Greenberg of Keshet Dance Company. Since then, our programs have grown to include integrated community dance classes, adaptive dance classes specifically for dancers with special needs and developmental disability, a robust volunteer exchange program, hosting visiting guest artists from across the country, and several more community performances and choreography showcases. The Cohesion Center for Dance and the Arts has blossomed into rehearsal and performance space available for rent and used by several dance and exercise groups in town. . . Our community fully embraces dancers of varying ages, abilities, and experience levels and supports a diversity of dance forms as essential to the human spirit. . .
