The Cobb Memorial Archives was built as a memorial to George S. and Edna L. Cobb, parents of George S. Cobb, Jr., who was chairman of the Coca Cola Bottling Company of West Point-LaGrange and chairman of the George S. and Edna L. Cobb Foundation. The Cobb Foundation provided funding for the building of the Archives adjoining the H. Grady Bradshaw Chambers County Library in Valley, Alabama. The Archives was dedicated on June 13, 1976.. .
