El Club Atlético Sarmiento es una institución deportiva de la ciudad de Resistencia, Argentina; su principal actividad es el fútbol, siendo uno de los clubes más reconocidos de la provincia.
También se practican otras disciplinas como básquet, vóley, hockey, tenis, Taekwon-Do, karate y natación.Fue fundado el 24 de septiembre de 1910, lo que lo convierte en el club más antiguo de la provincia.
El popular apodo de el Decano con el que se lo conoce a nivel local deriva de este hecho.En 1944, se clasificó a la Copa de la República, donde en la fase eliminatoria es derrotado por San Martín de Tucumán.
