Detailed description is Clarence House is a detached Victorian Guest House built in 1892.Jane & Nigel offer the highest quality of Bed and Breakfast in Keswick. Jane and Nigel wish you a very warm welcome to Clarence House and hope that your stay with us is comfortable and enjoyable. As long standing lovers of the Lake District and Keswick in particular, we are committed to offering a high standard of accommodation and service to enable our visitors to fully appreciate this most beautiful comer of England. Above all we want Clarence House to be a friendly, clean, relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.. . We are situated in a quiet street, just a five minute walk away from the town centre of Keswick and ten minutes walk from the theatre and the lake.. . Clarence House is a detached Victorian residence built in 1892. The property has been modernised and decorated to a high standard whilst retaining its original charm and character. . . All rooms have been refurbished and completely refurnished and redecorated. We hope that visitors will find the new rooms smart, warm, clean and above all, relaxing.. . The new oak furniture in four of the bedrooms is complemented by new carpets and tasteful plain coloured walls. Original paintings, limited edition prints and professional photographs by Jane and other local artists help to finish off the relaxed and luxurious atmosphere. The guest dining room has also had a complete makeover and had a Victorian fireplace placed back into it. All dining furniture is of high quality oak that is both comfortable and pleasing on the eye. High quality wood flooring has been fitted in the hallway and best quality period colour paints have been used throughout.. . Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.. . Jane and Nigel enjoy sharing their local knowledge and can help you with planning walks, finding things to do, recommending places to eat and drink and most other things you can think of!. .
