Detailed description is Trained in Boulder, Colorado, I have returned to Iowa to share the healing gift of Massage Therapy with the people from my home state! My journey thus far in life isn’t extraordinary, it isn’t one for history books, but to me, it has been a challenging yet beautiful journey of self-discovery and self-love.
After college, I found myself with a double major, these credentials that were supposed to send me out into the world ready to grab life by the horns; I had done everything I was “supposed” to do, but inside I felt lost.
I slowly slipped into a state of stagnation, feeling “low” and without any passion for the career I was in.
When I wasn’t working, I was sleeping my life away.
I sought out medical help and they said I needed to be put on a stimulant of some sort and wanted to diagnose me with mild narcolepsy.
I instantly knew that this felt wrong.
I knew then that I had to redirect my path and find answers of my own.

I was blessed in life to have a mother that in her own journey, had found answers with holistic health.
I had seen the amazing changes that happened in her life, from changing the foods she used to nourish her body, to seeking wellness through alternative healing modalities such as massage, acupuncture, and energy work.
I decided to follow in her footsteps.
I first started to feed my body with only the most whole foods.
I instantly felt a clarity that I hadn’t felt in years.
I not only saw my physical body begin to transform, but I had an energy that I forgot could exist and I was filled with hope that life could be full of passion.
With this new found energy, I now began to envision a different future for myself; a different career, a different state, and a whole different way of life.
This new path took me to Colorado where I began my education in Massage Therapy alongside becoming a Certified Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

While in school, my eyes were completely opened to the beauty that life could create; healthy living became second nature instead of a conscious effort, school presented an opportunity to learn not only a way to heal others, but a means to heal myself, and nature became not just a place to explore the wilderness, but also a place to find a deep connection to the spirituality that comes from the earth.
I began to recognize that our bodies are a beautiful gift not to be taken for granted; not just something to critique the way it looks from the outside but to revel in all that it is able to accomplish when you nourish the whole.
I not only witnessed the damage that stress and neglect could have on a body, but the amazing healing that can overcome when you fill your whole being with love, nourishment, and self-awareness.

My massage training from both the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and Healing Spirits, along with my education in holistic health coaching, has provided me with a variety of techniques to reconnect these wonderful instruments that have slowly become disconnected and broken over the years of neglect.
I have learned that in order to truly become well, we must take the time to love and nurture ourselves, recreating the wholeness we were meant to feel.
I work with people from all walks of life and my practice is inspired by the belief that bodywork should focus on the mind, body, and spirit – connecting both physical and emotional elements.
We were given this one body, this one mind, and this beautiful spirit; to nurture it, to fill it with love, and to create a life that is full of true happiness.
