Detailed description is City of Spires Historical Museum, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is the oldest church building in Aurora, originally founded in 1848. City of Spires, listen on the National Register of Historic Places, is a community museum with the purpose of offering the community and visitors opportunities to enjoy displays and presentation which are of local interest. In addition, through the preservation of the former sanctuary, City of Spires gives guests an opportunity to experience the oldest structure built as a house of worship in Aurora, Indiana. Much of the facility is available for rent for weddings, concerts, worship, memorial services, funerals, meetings, baby showers, wedding pictures, etc.. City of Spires is open on the first and third Sundays of the month from 1-4pm. Tours and special events are available any time. Just call Jill at (513)967-6791 to make an appointment.. Tours are FREE but charitable donations are excepted and much appreciated.
