Detailed description is The City of Quincy and the Quincy Public Schools present this event to promote health & wellness for our residents.
Registration for the 2nd annual City of Presidents 5k Run/Walk is now open.
Participants may learn more about the race and register online by visiting:www.cityofpresidents5k.racewire.com.

The race will be held on Sunday, September 27th at 10 a.m.
beginning and ending in Merrymount Park.
The 3.1 mile course spans the perimeter of the park with scenic views of the Wollaston Beach Reservation and Black's Creek..

Proceeds from the event will benefit Quincy Public Schools' health & wellness programs.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts has signed on as the lead sponsor for the second consecutive year, donating $10,000 toward the cause..

In addition to the adult categories for the 5k run & walk there is a separate category for students entering grades 5-12 to participate at a discounted rate of $10.
The adult registration fee is $25.
Registrants entered before September 18th will receive a free t-shirt as part of their registration fee.

Following the race, the Quincy Public Schools culinary students will cater a cookout for participants, volunteers and their families at Adams Field.
