The Youth Council’s functional parts:.

The General Assembly (GA) consists of all members of the Youth Council.
In 2015 there are 19 Youth who sit on the GA.
Meetings of the GA occur once a month, on the first Wednesday, start at 5:30pm and end no later than 8:30pm.
Meetings are open to the public and are usually held at City Hall.
GA meetings serve to provide an overview of all activities of the Youth Council since the last meeting, to allow people to stay informed, learn about what is going on in the city and to make decisions as a group by voting.

Standing committees of the Youth Council are permanent, year-to-year committees of the Youth Council.
There are currently five: Arts, City Planning/Infrastructure, Engagement, Health and Wellness, and Social Equity.
