Detailed description is The official Facebook home of Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School designed to keep students, families, alumni, and supporters in touch as we continue to live a life in His service.
In August of 1999, Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School opened its doors to students.
With classes held at St.
Peter’s Lutheran Church in Evansville, the school was supported by 13 association churches, parents of new and future students, and friends who worked together to create a Christ-centered, secondary educational facility for local young adults.

The school began with a small number of clubs, including Student Council, choir, and band.
It was the first class who selected the school colors to be purple, gold, and white as well as the school mascot and song, “Onward Christian Soldiers”..

In August 2000, more students enrolled at Christ Our Savior and new teachers were installed as Christ Our Savior faculty members.
More clubs and sports began to fill the co-curricular program.
In the fall of 2000, Ladies Volleyball was the first sport offered at Christ Our Savior.
In the same year, the school introduced Men’s Basketball with the team consisting of Christ Our Savior and home-schooled students.
In the spring, Christ Our Savior performed its first drama production..

Between 2001-2003, more students attended the school and more clubs were developed, including the first issues of the Soldier Times, Mission Club, Beta Club, Yearbook, FBLA, Ladies Basketball, baseball and softball, and cross-country..

Then after much support and many donations and fundraisers, the school’s gymnasium was opened in August of 2004.
Classes were moved to the gym’s mezzanine, while a few classes remained in the church building.
For the very first time, the school was hosting home games for the volleyball and basketball seasons..

It was in 2008 that the COSLHS family excitedly watched the construction of the new classroom building.
Volunteers from all over the country as well as the Christ Our Savior community worked together to create Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School's first classroom building.

In August 2009, the new classroom building held a dedication ceremony celebrating all that God has provided for Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School.
God graciously provided, especially in the first five years as the school began to grow and make a name within the local communities.
