Anglican worship in Ivy began in the 1840’s with the original settlers.
The current chancel windows were in the original building.
St.
Kevin’s, a sister church in Angus, closed and the parishioners joined Christ Church in Ivy.
When St.
Jude’s in Thornton also closed in the mid-1980’s, the congregation, stained glass windows and name came to Ivy – thus the hyphenated name of Christ Church-St.
Jude’s.
