It is the Cheshire County Shooting Sports Education Foundation (CCSSEF).
The new organization was first formed as a New Hampshire Non-Profit Corporation on April 9, 2010.
Next it became a New Hampshire Charitable Trust on September 22, 2010.
Both of these accomplishments set the stage for the Foundation to apply for 501(c)(3) Non-Profit status from the IRS.
In a letter from the IRS dated July 16, 2011, CCSSEF was granted 501(c)(3) Non-Profit status.
As a charitable entity the Foundation can receive tax-deductible donations to allow it to sponsor and offer more programs and opportunities for the membership and people in the local community..

The purpose of the CCSSEF shall be to educate in safe, responsible shooting activities and to foster amateur sports competition on both the national and international level.
The organization has responsibility for all educational and training events and all activities that foster national and international amateur competition.
In order to accomplish this purpose, one of the first projects being considered for the Foundation is the establishment of a state-of-the-art, world-class indoor shooting range..

The Foundation Executive Council shall have exclusive control and power to manage the activities, property, and affairs of the Foundation and shall determine the manner in which the funds of the Foundation, both principal and income, shall be applied within the limitations of the Foundation's Articles of Agreement, the Foundation By-Laws, the IRS Code and Chapter 292 of the New Hampshire RSAs.
