Students come from Chambersburg and surrounding townships of Hamilton, Greene, Lurgan, Letterkenny and Guilford.
CASHS is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.As of the 2005-06 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,858 students and 105.5 classroom teachers on a FTE basis, for a student-teacher ratio of 17.6.
There are four administrators, five guidance counselors, three paraprofessionals, eight secretaries and seven aides working at the school.
