Neste período, o Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (Senai-ES) começou a escrever sua trajetória em solo capixaba.
Um acordo entre a Companhia Vale do Rio Doce e o Senai do Rio de Janeiro trouxe uma extensão para o Estado, com a instalação da Escola de Aprendizagem Pedro Nolasco, num galpão cedido pela CVRD em Porto Velho, Cariacica.

Naquela época, a indústria capixaba estava preocupada com a logística, sendo o foco o modal ferroviário.
A necessidade era, principalmente, de mão-de-obra para a manutenção da Estrada de Ferro-Vitória Minas (EFVM).
Mais tarde, o Senai-ES passou a incorporar outra escola de formação profissional: a Escola Ferroviária de João Neiva, então município de Ibiraçu, também por força do acordo estabelecido com a Vale..

Outro fato marcante na década de 50 foi o lançamento da pedra fundamental para a construção da primeira unidade do Senai no Espírito Santo, ocorrido em 27 de junho de 1957, em Vitória.
A inauguração da escola, batizada como Centro de Formação Profissional Jerônimo Monteiro, aconteceu em 25 de maio de 1964.
A partir de 1970, além da ampliação deste centro, foram construídos outros em Cachoeiro de Itapemirim e Linhares..

Com pouco mais de meio século de existência, o Senai-ES mantém seu foco na educação e formação profissional, acompanhando o forte e acelerado desenvolvimento industrial capixaba.
