Detailed description is We are a MDWFP-permitted turtle and tortoise rescue in the central Mississippi area.
We are a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization.
Dedicated in loving memory to our beloved Booboo.
(1993-2012) My husband and I began caring for turtles in 2006, and since that time have cared for many different species, injuries, and illnesses.
When Booboo (a badly deformed Redfoot Tortoise) came into our lives several years ago, we knew that rescuing injured, sick, abandoned, abused, and neglected turtles and tortoises was our true calling.

We are the only state-permitted (through the MS Dept.
of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks) turtle rescue facility in the central Mississippi area.
We are a Mississippi registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
We provide care, proper environment, rehabilitation, and release (when possible).
Turtles that cannot be released are offered for adoption.
If you are interested in providing a home for a turtle or tortoise, please think about adopting.
Just like dogs or cats, thousands of turtles are looking for loving homes across the country.
We have several for adoption at any given time, and can also put you in touch with other rescue organizations around the country.
Qualified fosters are also greatly needed and appreciated..
