Detailed description is Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is a specialized security force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, tasked with safeguarding critical infrastructure in India. It is headquartered in New Delhi and has a significant presence across the country. . . The CISF was established in 1969 to address the growing security concerns faced by industrial establishments in India. It operates under the leadership of a Director-General and comprises various units, including Special Protection Group (SPG), Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), and Special Tactical Group (STG). . . The CISF is responsible for protecting over 600 industrial establishments, including nuclear power plants, refineries, oil and gas installations, airports, ports, and government buildings.
