In 1975, we became the first Community Rehabilitation Program in NJ to receive accreditation by the National Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facility (CARF).
We currently hold CARF accreditations in seven areas and offer training in four program areas.

In 1984 CEA opened Spring Run School (SRS), a full New Jersey certified private secondary school serving the needs of students with autism and other disabilities between the ages of 14 and 21.
In 2004, CEA expanded services to SRS students by adding Transition Services to help them make a smooth transition from school to work/adult life..
The Employment Services Group at CEA has offered on-site training for our disabled population since our inception.
Participants can choose to work in our Food Service, Packaging & Assembly, or Building Maintenance training programs.
For an individual who is interested in a more professional setting we offer an Office Technologies Program.
Our programs develop work and educational skills that foster responsibility, discipline, positive values, and help build.

Through their work experiences, trainees learn how to live a more productive, meaningful, and prosperous life..

In the past fiscal year CEA has provided vocational, educational, and training services to 200 individuals.
Ninety people have benefited from vocational evaluation services.
Our training programs ; including Office Technologies, Food Service, and Work Adjustment Training; have assisted thirty-one individuals in building skills for the work force.
Twenty individuals took part in the CORE Values Program, our new grant funded program for those with Asperger's and related disorders affecting social and communication skills..

Approximately sixty workers with disabilities come to CEA on a daily basis to take part in our ongoing work program and are able to earn a regular paycheck.
Fourteen individuals have received direct assistance in finding community employment.
An additional twenty or more individuals receive ongoing job support to help them maintain long-term community employment..
