Located in the heart of the Inland Empire in Riverside, Calif., California Baptist University offers 20 intercollegiate athletic teams.
The Lancer athletic program has begun a new era as it is now a part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and is one of 13 members in the Pacific West Conference (PacWest) - the most geographically diverse conference in Division II with schools in Hawaii, Utah, the San Francisco Bay Area and Central and Southern California.
Since 1999, CBU has won 35 national championships, and in the three years since transitioning to NCAA DII, CBU has taken home 14 conference titles, nine National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) titles and its first NCAA Division II individual title, as well as winning the NCCAA Presidential Award and two PacWest Commissioner’s Cups, awarded to the top athletic program in each organization.
Presently, all 20 teams offer athletic scholarships.
