Detailed description is Casa Vacanza a Castelmezzano. Antica casa nella roccia, un tempo dimora di un mago. Segnalata come attrazione turistica dalla "LONELY PLANET". La casa è segnalata dalla famosa guida "Lonely Planet" come attrazione turistica. Costruita interamente a mano nella roccia, anticamente è stata la dimora di un mago, come indicato da una targa del Comune all'ingresso. Dal cancello, si entra salendo scale scavate nella roccia. Si entra in una prima stanza con due finestre, pavimento in roccia, soffitto con travi in legno e una grotta nella roccia con una cucina e il tavolo per mangiare. La cucina dispone di tutta l'attrezzatura necessaria, forno, frigorifero, e varie. Qui c'è l'antico camino in pietra, utilizzabile. Poi si accede ad un ampio soggiorno con balcone, parquet e soffitto con travi di legno, dove si può guardare la televisione (satellitare), ascoltare musica (stereo con collezione di CD a disposizione e possibilità di collegare il proprio smartphone). A disposizione una poltrona e un divano letto comodo dove possono dormire due persone. La stanza dispone di un secondo camino moderno, anche questo utilizzabile. Passando sotto un arco si accede ad una piccola grotta con un letto matrimoniale: un posto veramente unico nel quale dormire! Il bagno è localizzato nelle scale, all'interno della proprietà, ad uso esclusivo dell'abitazione (vedere le foto).. . Accesso Ospiti. Gli ospiti hanno accesso all'intera casa: la cucina, il salotto, la stanza da letto nella roccia e al bagno, localizzato nelle scale ma ad uso esclusivo dell'abitazione. I due camini sono ben funzionanti e possono essere utilizzati (legna a disposizione). Disponibili tutti gli attrezzi per cucinare e mangiare, il frigo, il forno, il frullatore, lo spremi agrumi e attrezzi vari. Possibilità di utilizzare la televisione satellitare, lo stereo/radio con lettore cd e possibilità di collegare lo smartphone, lettore dvd e Xbox 1 con collezione di giochi, asciugacapelli, ferro da stiro. Divieto di fumo all'interno della casa ma è possibile fumare sul balcone. Divieto di portare animali.. . Interazione con gli Ospiti. Il proprietario, che vive a 25 km dalla casa, o suo delegato, viene ad accogliere gli ospiti e a dare indicazioni sul soggiorno ed è contattabile per eventuali necessità.. . Il Quartiere. La "Casa del Mago" è posizionata in pieno centro di Castelmezzano, nella via principale, appena dopo la piazza della chiesa. E' il punto perfetto per effettuare il famoso "Volo dell'Angelo" tra Castelmezzano e Pietrapertosa. I due paesi, inoltre, sono collegati da un bellissimo e facile percorso escursionistico e, da poco, anche da una fantastica via ferrata (da fare con adeguata attrezzatura ed esperienza). Le attività possibili sono: il trekking, l'esplorazione eno-gastronomica; la bicicletta e la mountain bike; l'arrampicata sportiva (pareti attrezzate a Castelmezzano e a Pietrapertosa).. . Un giro nei dintorni. Castelmezzano è una ottima base per esplorare la Basilicata, in particolare, oltre alle Dolomiti Lucane, la città di Matera, Capitale europea della Cultura, l'area del Vulture e il Parco Nazionale del Pollino. Il proprietario della casa può fornirvi tutte le informazioni in proposito. Il mezzo migliore per muoversi è l'automobile. Comunque, Castelmezzano è collegata a Potenza con un bus pubblico.. . Altre Cose da Evidenziare. Dove è il bagno? L'abitazione è una antica casa scavata nella roccia. Questo è il suo elemento che la rende unica, con i suoi pregi ma anche con qualche piccola scomodità, come quella (l'unica) di avere il bagno nelle scale. Quando è stata costruita le case non avevano i bagni all'interno!!! Per preservare la struttura come originariamente costruita si è scelto di posizionare il bagno nelle scale. Si precisa che il bagno è all'interno della struttura, dunque al chiuso (il cancello è chiuso con una struttura di plexiglass per preservare dal freddo e da una tenda per assicurare la privacy) , ed è ad uso esclusivo dell'abitazione (vedere foto).
