Detailed description is Nonprofit Youth Sports Organization serving Southern Maryland since 1997. Competitive Cheer Teams and our tumbling classes are open to the public. Calvert All Stars, Inc. (CAS) is a federally recognized non-profit organization (501c3) formed in 1998 to provide a means for those individuals who enjoy and excel at the sport of cheerleading to compete at the all-star level. We have programs for all ages, pre-k through adult; and all skill levels beginner through advanced.. . Through practice, performance & competition, our staff strives to develop the whole athlete - physically, mentally, & emotionally. Our philosophy is that every child can reach their potential in a supportive environment with positive guidance & superior instruction. All-Star cheer combines tumbling, elite stunting, dance, strength & conditioning training to teach goal setting & team work. Most importantly, we believe that the valuable life skills that are encouraged and nurtured by participation in our sport, and the training opportunities we provide, enable our members to develop a strong foundation on which to build their talents and fulfill the potential we see in each of them.. . Over the last eighteen years, CAS has evolved from practicing in the hallway of a local elementary school to a full-size, self-supported training facility offering cheerleading and floor tumbling. CAS is consistently recognized by our peers because of the unique nature of our organization. CAS is the only federally recognized nonprofit all-star organization in Southern Maryland. 100% of the monies generated go to support the mission and objectives of CAS. CAS maintains the only facility in Southern Maryland dedicated exclusively to training athletes for the sport of all-star cheer. CAS is staffed entirely by adult instructors, who are greenlighted background checked, qualified, USASF/AACCA/USAG credentialed volunteers who devote their time and talents to supporting the youth of Southern Maryland.. .
