This accessible and affordable facility is owned and run by dog lover, Grania Holtsbaum. Grania is a fully qualified Drama teacher of 20 years and has spent the last 10 years caring for dogs in her spare time. Grania decided to open up Camp Canine Homestay during her school holidays and weekends as she was already caring for dogs, simply because of the love she has for these delightful creatures! This homestay offers small to medium size dogs a place to stay during the day, that feels like home and where there is always wonderful company guaranteed! . . At Camp Canine, we realise your dogs are hugely loved and valued family members and you can be assured that we will deliver the care and attention your dog deserves! Grania's philosophy is to treat and care for her canine friends just as she would a class of her students, with utmost respect, patience and attention!. . Due to Grania’s teaching commitments, Camp Canine opening hours are currently limited to - Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am to 7:00pm as well as NSW School Holidays, with a future view to extend these hours. Weekend and school holiday night stays are also offered for just $20 per night, on top of day rate. We are also open on long weekend and public holidays. As a private home, Camp Canine Homestay is a KENNEL FREE ZONE. We encourage owners to bring their pets to Camp Canine for an introduction before their overnight stay to ensure everyone gets along well!. . Operating hours:. What exercise do you provide? A. Your Dog will have access to the house as well as the back yard. Depending on number of dogs we are caring for at one time we may take your dog for a walk on lead. The walk is a 3km round trip from our place to Cafe Bones in Leichhardt. Dogs can also run and play under supervision around the extensive cafe grounds. . Q. What do I need to provide when I bring my Dog for their stay? A. Nothing apart from your dog’s leash and any food you would like them to have for a main meal.
