Detailed description is CCBC provides tournament bass fishing on Kentucky Lake for the amateur fishermen.

2016 Club Rules.
.
1. Calloway County Bass Club is an amateur club.
No member or guest can be a professional fisherman and or guide or derive any part of his or her income as a professional.
An individual’s acceptance into the club for any reason the committee deems appropriate.
Calloway County Bass Club reserves the right to deny acceptance into the club for any reason the committee deems appropriate.
Calloway County Bass Club reserves the right to expel any member for inappropriate actions, rules violations or other actions detrimental to Calloway County Bass Club.
If a member or team shows consistency in winning over an extended period we ask that they discontinue fishing with Calloway County Bass Club and move to fishing in the larger open tournaments.
If they do not make this move on their own they will be subject to review and possible expulsion from the club by the committee..

2. TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE – Members of the tournament committee present at tournaments will settle any disputes at tournaments.
Any protest must be submitted in writing before scales close at each tournament.
Tournament committee’s interpretations of all rules shall be final in all matters..

3. NEW & FORMER MEMBERS – In order to join Calloway County Bass Club, a new member may contact any committee member and obtain a liability release form for membership to be completed and club dues paid at any time during a season.
The entire tournament committee will vote on the club applicant.
A unanimous decision must be reached for acceptance of a new club member.
For former members, paying club dues along with turning in a completed and signed release form by March 1st is recommended.
Club dues and signed release form must be paid and turned in before fishing any tournament..

4. CLUB FEE must be paid in full ($30) by March 1st..
.
5. TOURNAMENT ENTRTY FEE will be $50 for each tournament.
Entry fee will be accepted until 25 minutes prior to the start of each tournament..

6. GUESTS – Each club member will have 2 guest opportunities per season.
A guest may fish only 2 tournaments per season.
No guests will be allowed for the classic..
.
7. SPORTSMANSHIP – Competitors in club tournaments are expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship.
Absolutely no vulgar language, alcohol or narcotic use by any competitor during the tournament will be tolerated.
Failure to abide by this shall be cause for immediate disqualification and may result in expulsion from the club..

8. BASIC BOAT EQUIPMENT – Each boat must have all requited Coast Guard safety equipment.
Safe boating must be observed at all times.
Each contestant is required to wear a chest type preserver any time the combustion engine is in operation.
All boats with an electric starter must be equipped with an engine kill switch that is attached to the driver’s body any time the combustion engine is in operation..

9. BOAT AND MOTOR – A small motor, gas or electric, may be used for slow maneuvering.
Not trolling of any kind will be permitted..

10. TOURNAMENT BOATS – Boats must be launched and taken out at the designated ramp of each tournament unless prior approval from the tournament director.
Boats must remain in the tournament waters during the tournament.
Contestants must remain in the boat at all times except in the case of dire emergency or rest breaks in the immediate lake area.
Trailing of boats during tournament hours is prohibited.
In case of boat failure, a contestant from the failed boat will be allowed to return to weigh-in in another club member’s boat with both contests’ fish..

11. BOAT LIVEWELLS – Livewells may be checked by committee members and/or club members before any tournament.
The last registered angler/anglers for each tournament will be responsible in calling out the takeoff numbers..

12. BOATS are allowed to lock through the dam to fish a different body of water unless noted otherwise on the schedule or by a tournament committee member before tournament take off.
Boats will be allowed to lock through during the “Classic”..
.
13. TACKLE AND EQUIPMENT – Only artificial lures may be used.
No live bait will be permitted.
Only one casting, or spin casting reel may be used at any one time.
Rods can’t be longer than (8) feet in length.
All bass must be caught live and in a conventional sporting manner..

14. LATE ARRIVAL – After boats have left the starting point of a tournament, you must find and inform a tournament committee member that you are fishing the tournament.
You must also be at the weigh-in to pay your entry fees.
Failure to do this will result in expulsion from the club.
Late arrival entry fees will be added to the payout of the Classic..

15. LIVE FISH – Every effort should be to keep the bass alive and returned to the lake.
All fish weighed during the tournament must be returned to the water with the exception of a trophy.
A trophy bass over five (5) pounds will be returned to the contestant if they so desire.
A dead fish penalty of .50 pounds (1/2) pound for each dead bass weighed will be deducted from the contestant’s total weight..

16. OFFICIAL LENGTH for bass shall be 15 inches.
All fish will be measured on the “Golden Rule” with the mouth closed and swishing of the tail.
A contestant may courtesy check a fish’s length of the clubs official “Golden Rule” but once the fish is in the hand of a committee member it may not then be courtesy checked.
The penalty for a bass presented for weight-in that fails to measure the legal minimum length will be total disqualification from eh tournament.
Any bass that appears to have been mauled, mangled, mashed or altered will be weighed only at the discretion of a tournament committee member.

17. SCORING – Scoring will be determined by the pounds and ounces of each boat’s catch during the tournament.
Only largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass will be weighed.
The limit shall be five (5) bass per boat..

18. POINT SCORING – Points will be scored for all of the regular season tournaments and complied at the end of the regular season to determine the Angle of Year (AOY) point standings.
Each team’s best 10 tournaments will be used and the worst 2 tournaments will be dropped in determining AOY point standings.
Points for each tournament will be as follows: 1st place will receive 50 points, 2nd place will receive 49 points, 3rd place will receive 48 points and so on.
Any team or member that fishes a tournament and does not have fish to weigh will receive 20 points for fishing the tournament.
If a member brings a guest to a tournament the member and his or her regular season partner will receive the points earned by the member and guest for that tournament.
In the case a team splits during the season the points will be split equally between the two members.
In the case two club members who are not regular partners fish a tournament together; the points awarded to them for that tournament will go to only one of their teams.
They must choose and inform the tournament director which team is to receive the points when entering for the tournament.
AOY will be awarded for the team or member finishing 1st in the point standings along with the 2nd and 3rd place finishers also receiving prizes.
The team with the most weight from all of the regular season tournaments combined will be declared the winner in any ties for angler of the year point standings..

19. LATE PENALTY – There shall be no excuse for tardiness and in no case shall a competitor be allowed to make-up lost time.
Contestants are required to be within sight and cease fishing by tournament stop time.
Anyone determined late by tournament officials shall lose 1 lb.
per minute late up to 15 minutes which will result in disqualification.
It is the responsibility of contestants to be on time..

20. TIES – In case of a tie, positions shall be resolved by combining winnings and dividing equally among the tied contestants..

21. CLASSIC – Club members who fish a minimum of 5 tournaments will qualify for the Classic.
A member may buy up to 2 tournaments at the time of any 2 regular season tournaments to count toward their 5 tournaments to qualify for the Classic.
No guest or non-qualified club members may participate in the Classic.
The Classic will be held on Kentucky and/or Barkley Lakes.
Both lakes will be off limits the 5 days prior to the beginning of the Classic.
The number of places paid out at the classic will be 1/3 of the field.
Example: If 21 boats fish the classic it will pay back 7 places.
$25 from each club member’s dues plus the entry fees for the classic will be used as payout for the classic.
$5 from each club member’s dues will be split and used as payout for the biggest largemouth and smallmouth bass caught during the regular season tournaments.
The Classic entry fee will be $60.
Entry cutoff time for the Classic will be 30 minutes prior to the scheduled tournament start time.
Chips will be drawn for day one starting order.
Day two starting order will be based on day ones standings, ex.
1st place will start first, 2nd place will start second etc..
