The festival's roots date back to 1991 when the public was invited to pick pumpkins from a humble patch on campus.
Since then, the patch has grown into a festival that draws thousands of people to the AGRIscapes Center at Cal Poly Pomona on an October weekend.

It also features a four-acre corn maze specially grown for the occasion, a petting zoo, hayrides, pony rides, and the Cal Poly Pomona Insect Fair.
