Detailed description is CIE manages and supports a wide variety of programs and activities to stimulate the entrepreneurial Learn by Doing spirit at Cal Poly.. The CIE is designed to open the world of entrepreneurial opportunity to Cal Poly students and faculty members and promotes entrepreneurial activity, scholarship and dialogue across the university and throughout greater San Luis Obispo County.. . We do this by:. •Creating a continuum of programs and activities to develop the entrepreneurial mindset and skill set of our students in our “learn by doing” culture (refer to Appendix E, pg. 22).. •Advocating for and coordinating education in entrepreneurship and innovation across all University disciplines. . •Nurturing student vision and professional initiative through exposure to entrepreneurial leaders in internships and mentoring. . •Creating networking opportunities for entrepreneurs that will yield critical partnerships and relationships. . •Organizing and promoting venture competitions for students. . •Supporting University programs and activities fostering technology commercialization. . .
