Detailed description is The Brown Vegetarian Society is focused on bettering the lives of animals through the promotion of a vegetarian/ vegan lifestyle. Formerly known as the Brown Animal Rights Club (BARC), the Brown Veg Society (BVS) has gone through a rebranding process over the summer to gain focus on issues specifically pertaining to the vegetarian and vegan communities of Brown University. Activities include (but are not limited to) petitioning, leafleting, pamphleting,discussions, cooking sessions, meetings, and movie screenings.
