It started out like any guy who likes to BBQ.
Just in the back yard at home.
It started getting serious after a fishing trip to the west coast with my dad & son.
There was a lot of Salmon that needed smoking! I bought a smoker and that was the start.
From there it started getting a little more serious.
Bought a better BBQ, my wife hasn’t cooked a turkey in the oven for about 8 or 9 years now.
Bought another smoker, took a class or two in Calgary, BBQ’d for the guys on my construction site..

Wanting to take my skills up to another level I decided that in order to learn good southern BBQ, I needed to go south! I enrolled in Jack’s Old South Cooking School with Myron Mixon in Unidilla, Georgia.
It was fantastic! We basically bought a BBQ right there and had it shipped home..

Our BBQ is mounted on its own trailer for mobility.
