This opened a new door for me and I started saving unique hardwood logs that were to be used as firewood or sent to the chipper. . . Salvaging old barn wood from abandoned farm yards started a new interest for me. The aged wood has a unique quality and feel. It has an ability to tell a story through layers of paint and saw blade cuts. The history of this wood easily speaks of the passage of time. My goal is to capture the memories of days gone, by handcrafting quality products made from each unique piece of barnboard.
