La Biblioteca multimediale "Arturo Loria" è stata inaugurata il 10 novembre 2007 negli spazi dell'ex Manifattura di cappelli di paglia "Aristide Loria", costruita nel 1902 nel centro storico di Carpi, accanto al Palazzo dei Pio.. . L'edificio della nuova Biblioteca ha un'estensione di 3.000 metri quadri distribuiti su tre piani. L'area esterna è stata completamente restaurata attraverso il rifacimento delle infrastrutture e della pavimentazione di via Rodolfo Pio, su cui si affaccia l'ingresso principale e del Cortile che collega la Biblioteca Loria con il Palazzo dei Pio. Questi interventi hanno trasformato l'immagine di questa area situata nel cuore medievale di Carpi, restituendola ai cittadini, con percorsi e prospettive nuove e di grande suggestione sul centro storico.. . In questo caso la Biblioteca ha coinvolto in un processo virtuoso di miglioramento e riassetto un'ampia zona monumentale rendendola più accessibile ai cittadini.. .
