Our programs emphasize teaching the children the essential skills they need to enter kindergarten starting with the 3-year old developmental skills through the 4-year old basic learning skills needed to enter kindergarten. We stay up-dated on all the new materials the kindergartens are teaching and what the children need to know to enter kindergarten.. . 3 -- YEAR OLD PRE K PROGRAM. . TABLE TIME: During this time the children focus on different types of academic works:. Worksheets & Workbooks: Learning colors, shapes, sizes, letters & numbers.. We work with each child individually so we know exactly where each child is academically.. Group Direction: We also work with the children in a group situation so they learn to take direction and follow through and stay with the entire group.. Colors & Shapes: Each 3-year old Pre K child will learn to recognize and then name each color and shape. . Numbers: Each 3-year old Pre K child will master counting to 20 and begin to recognize numbers 0-10. As each child progresses we continue and move on.. Letters & Phonics: They will begin to recognize each letter of the alphabet along with the phonic sound of each letter.. Arts & Crafts: The children love to do their art projects. They bring their treasures home each week to share with you!. . Our program will focus on the physical, emotional and social growth of each child. We will stress self-confidence, self-discipline, and independence in both emotional growth and socialization skills. We practice at school and promote everything with a positive attitude!. . . 4 -- YEAR OLD KINDERGARTEN READINESS PROGRAM. . TABLE TIME: During this time the children focus on different types of academic works:. Worksheet & Workbooks: Learning rhyming, phonics, letter recognition, number recognition, matching, shapes & sizes, & story sequencing.. Group Direction: We do our worksheets & workbooks as a group, learning to take group direction and keep up with each direction given.. Lined Paper: We work with each child individually so we know exactly where each child is academically and so we know exactly what each child’s individual needs are. Each child in the Kindergarten Readiness Program will learn to hold their pencil with their “pincher” grip and learn to control their pencil. They will then move on to printing each letter of the alphabet (upper & lower case). They will also be learning to print their first name.. Colors & Shapes: Each child will learn to name each color & shape required for kindergarten screening.. Numbers: We will be counting to 100 during this program. Each child should be able to name numbers 0 – 10 also required for kindergarten screening.. Letters & Phonic: We will be working on naming each letter of the alphabet along with the phonic sound of each letter.. Arts & Crafts: The children love to do their art projects. They will bring their treasures home each week to share with you!. . Our Kindergarten Readiness Program will focus on everything they need to know to enter kindergarten. We get them ready for their kindergarten screening. We stay in contact with kindergarten teachers to be able to introduce your child to all the new things they will be leaning in kindergarten.
