Detailed description is BES NEST—Neighbors Empowering Students & Teachers to SOAR—is Bethlehem Elementary School’s PTO. NEST has made a tremendously positive impact on the school and its spirit, but everything we do is only made possible by parent volunteers, and supportive community members and businesses. We're a small school in a small town. Our pool of volunteers is incredibly small, and our events and programs depend on increasing our parent volunteer help.. . HOW YOU CAN HELP:. . Support our fundraisers! Buy some Spirit Gear Drive, attend our Harvest Festival, sell some Pies to your family & friends during our Holiday Pie Sale, and use the SilverGraphics Art fundraiser—featuring great stuff customized with your child’s own artwork—for your Holiday shopping. . . Attend our NEST Happy Hour Meeting & Pizza Party in September. This important meeting introduces parents to NEST, goes over our schedule and goals for the coming school year, and most importantly, outlines how you can help in any small or big way you’re able. We urge you to attend—the pizza is on us!. . Lend a hand with our Annual Harvest Festival: This fun fall fundraiser takes a lot of planning and hands-on help. Attend our weekly HF meetings, or simply sign up to be an extra hand gathering raffle donations, helping at the concessions stand, participating in the Trunk-or-Treat, or supervising games & activities. . . Donate: We often send out calls for help gathering small supplies or food items for our events. Every little bit helps. Find our donation buckets at all our events. If you own a business or can provide a service, please inquire how you can help.. . Help as much or as little, whenever and wherever, you can—but just help: Throughout the year, we'll send out calls for help when we need it. Please consider helping and making it a family affair. You will be supporting your children’s school and—by your own example and through their own efforts—instilling in your children the value of giving back to their community. NEST is not only about adults pulling together; it is about empowering our children to see their place and value in our community, instilling in them a sense that they can make a difference just as they are.
