Detailed description is The Bennett School of Irish dance is located at Excel Gymnastics in Steamboat Springs. Classes are welcome to all ages & levels. . Basics Class. Mondays 4:00-5:00 (5-7 year olds) or Thursdays 4:00-5:00 (8+ years old). The Basics class is geared towards students under 18 who are new to Irish dance. This class will review basic Irish dance steps, skills, and technique. Students will remain in soft shoes during the majority of this class, only to be introduced to hard shoes after several months in class, with the instructor’s approval. . . Competitors . Mondays & Thursdays 5:00 -6:30. This class is for dancers who have taken at least one year of Irish dance and attend competitions (feisanna). This class includes more advances steps and is geared towards competition preparation. Half of these classes will be in hard shoes. . . Adults. Tuesdays 5:00-6:30. This class is for adults who are new to Irish dance, want to get in shape and have fun. We will review basic skill sets and learn different céilí (social) dances. .
