He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Pittsburgh, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. Dr. Polecritti then completed one year of post-graduate work in Exercise Physiology. He went on to attend Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania, and graduated in the top of his class. He was awarded membership to the academic honors society, Psi Sigma Alpha.
