Miss Melissa Casas-Alamo started training in Classical Ballet at a very early age with Academia de Artes Franceschi in Puerto Rico, having the opportunity of assisting in class with the younger students once she became advanced.
Later, she graduated from the Ballet Specialized, Julian E.
Blanco School.
While Miss Melissa had the drive for teaching it was not until she enrolled on the School of Education at the University of Puerto Rico that she realized that her passion for dance could transcend by teaching to others the one thing she enjoy doing the most.
From then on Miss Melissa had the opportunity to teach children, youth, and adults in the disciplines of ballet and salsa.
At the same time, she participated in the logistic and production of operas, zarzuelas and music theater as part of the Music Theater Ensemble during her collage years.
Miss Melissa has a BA in Elementary Education from University of Puerto Rico and she’s been teaching Ballet for over 11 years.
She has been exposed as a dancer and choreographer of ballet, salsa, Broadway musicals, operas and zarzuelas in Puerto Rico, Chicago, and Florida.
