Collection of storm cast sea wrack has been a tradition in the area for decades.
All processes are licensed and small scale, made as environmentally friendly as possible.
During the winter it is safe to collect the seaweed which has washed up on shore.
After collection the seaweed is made into windrows to break down.
Once it has been broken down enough to be sifted it is then manually sorted and bagged.
The product you find upon opening a bag does not look like seaweed (or smell like it) but a rich soil that can be mixed or used alone as a highly nutritious and non-synthetic fertilizer.
