Bölge Bağımsız Milletvekili Adayı Batuhan Aydagül, farklı ülke ve kurumlarda 15 yıldan fazla deneyimi olan bir eğitim politikası uzmanıdır..Batuhan Aydagül, 28 Nisan 1971’de İstanbul’da doğdu. Marmara Üniversitesi’nden İşletme lisans ve Stanford Üniversitesi’nden Eğitim Yönetimi ve Politika Analizi yüksek lisans derecelerine sahiptir. Son 13 yıldır Türkiye’nin en saygın sivil toplum kuruluşlarından biri olan Eğitim Reformu Girişimi’nde eğitim politikası uzmanı olarak çalışmış ve son 4 yıl boyunca da aynı kurumda yönetici pozisyonunda yer almıştır. Darüşşafaka Cemiyeti, Öğretmen Akademisi Vakfı ÖR-AV’da ve Network of Education Policy Centers’da yönetim kurulu üyeliği yapmış; Anne Çocuk Eğitim Vakfı (AÇEV) ile birlikte Lübnan’daki mülteci kamplarında Filistinli mültecilerle, Almanya’da ise Berlin’deki Türkiye kökenli anne ve çocuklarla, Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa ve Mardin’de eğitimde toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliğinin sağlanmasına yönelik öncü çalışmalar yürütmüştür. Yaşanan iç savaş sonrasında 2007-2008 yılları arasında Liberya’nın Eğitim Bakanlığı’nda danışmanlık yapmış ve bu ülkeye verdiği hizmetlerden dolayı Liberya Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından Üstün Hizmet Ödülü’ne layık görülmüştür. Son olarak, 2012’de Türkiye’de eğitime yaptığı katkılardan ötürü Chicago Council of Global Affairs tarafından Yılın Sosyal Girişimcisi seçilmiştir.
