Detailed description is Basel Christian Church Perth (BCCP) is a congregation planted by The Basel Christian Church of Malaysia (BCCM), which officially become a member of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) in 1979. . . More about BCCM, go to facebook.com/bccm.central Planting a new congregation in Perth has been in the hearts of many for a long time. However, it was in October 2016, God moved the hearts of people; they met in Sabah for discussion, putting into action to plant a new congregation in Perth. In faith, 4th of December has been made known to be the 1st Sunday Service of BCCP.. . In early November 2016, a group of brothers and sisters in Christ living in Perth were identified to be the team to start the work of planting this new congregation. Moved by God, this team met in a prayer group, seeking God for His guidance and direction. . . By the grace of God, and with much prayer and planning, Basel Christian Church Perth held its 1st Sunday service at Rod Evans Community Centre (RECC) in Perth on 4th December 2016. However, RECC is ending its operation by end of December, therefore the search of a place to worship continues.. . By the grace of God, we found the Hall in South Perth Uniting Church. The experience of searching for a venue, moving from one location to another, until the place we are meeting now was like the Israelites following God’s leading in the wilderness. This confirms and assures us that now is the time God has appointed to start BCCP, and He is with us from the beginning and will be with us until the end.. . Just as any new congregation, there are challenges and difficulties that we faced, some we had overcome, some we are learning to overcome. However, through it all, the grace of God is sufficient for us. . . As we look ahead and move forward from where we are, we begin to look outward and move beyond BCCP; making connections with local churches, building relationships with the local communities, desiring to be reverence to God and relevant to the local society in Perth. . . We want to obey the Great Commission of our Lord; GO, MAKE disciples and TEACH them to obey. We desire to see everyone in BCCP making disciples for the Lord.. . By the grace of God, BCCP will be known as a tangible body of Christ, where people can experience and receive God’s grace, set free to know and live in God’s truth.. . “To the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.” (Ephesians 1:6).
