I spent an amazing year in Canada after University, Banff in winter [as a hotel receptionist], Vancouver Island in summer [at my uncle's self-made bungy-jumping site, Bungyzone], and did some awesome trips through Canada and the USA.. . I went to New Orleans in 1993 and loved it!. . Other highlights were Toronto, New York, Disneyland, Las Vegas, Rosarito - Mexico, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver Island, Nanaimo, Victoria BC, and the Grand Canyon.. . I have bungy jumped 10 times: frontwards, backwards, tandem, in the water, out of the water, testing the cord! And every time I was so scared my body let out an involuntary gut wrenching scream - but the high afterwards was pretty amazing.. . I have black-water rafted, caved, abseiled, white-water rafted - a few times, been on crazy jet-ski rides, and I have experienced an amazing skidoo trip in Canada, one on my highlights.. . I have partied hard in my time! A few years ago now my son who was almost 10 at the time - saw an old uni photo of me and said -" Mum is that you? You look drunk", I said - "I'm acting like I am drunk, doing a good job aye?" - and he believed me. Yes, one day he will know better.. . I have travelled to Aussie, Canada, USA, Europe, Bali, Fiji, Hawaii.
