And, in July 2012, she opened the Northeast Georgia Hearing and Balance Clinic in Lavonia, Georgia.. . Dr. Thomas has been helping those with hearing loss since 1982. A native of Birmingham, Ala, she moved to the area in 1988. As a Doctor of Audiology, she’s a specialist in hearing and identifying balance disorders. With training and education in the prevention, identification and treatment of hearing impairments and disorders of the vestibular system, Dr. Thomas is prepared to help in a variety of ways.. . She also puts a lot of her personality into our practice. Dr. Thomas is skilled in the art of stained glass, and you can see her work on display when you visit one of our offices.
