Detailed description is Faz parte do Programa de Recuperação Socioambiental da Serra do Mar que por meio da CDHU promove intercâmbio entre práticas e conhecimentos artísticos.
A ideia inicial do Ateliê é realizar os trabalhos de arte educação por meio de abertura de duas linguagens: cerâmica (mosaico) e pintura mural (técnica de estêncil).
Porém, como um dos pilares metodológicos do projeto é a exploração dos diferentes saberes e fazeres locais, o projeto também propõe que o espaço do Ateliê expanda os seus limites geográficos, ampliando tais linguagens e realizando pesquisas sobre: possíveis trabalhos com os recursos naturais da própria serra, identificação e fomentação dos saberes locais, levantamento de técnicas próprias, modos de produção, etc..
É importante ressaltar a escolha da metodologia cartográfica como fio condutor desse projeto se justifica porque sugere um conjunto de mapas que representam além dos aspectos físicos, contextos socioeconômicos, ações humanas e as relações entre essas dimensões, que propicia discussões pertinentes ao processo de urbanização..
Localizado em Cubatão no bairro Fabril promove através do programa de urbanização de favelas da Serra do Mar, debates e práticas artísticas com a população destas áreas locais.
