The 2nd Annual ArtWalk in the Square, returns to the CF Shops of Don Mills (corner of Lawrence and Don Mills) from Friday, August 18 through Sunday, August 20, 2017. This affordable fine art festival is presented by the Artists’ Network, an organization dedicated to educating artists in the business side of art. . . ArtWalk in the Square builds on the success of its sister show, the Riverdale Artwalk (celebrating 20 years, that show is the first weekend in June, long known as the summer season opener for fine art shows). This late summer juried show showcases 70 emerging and established fine artists from across Canada, in all manner of disciplines (mixed media, fibre, photography, sculpture, plus every kind of painter you can think of). The management and the retailers of the CF Shops of Don Mills provide us with tremendous support; this event was one of the highlights of last summer at the mall. Best of all, it is free and open to the public. A great way for the community to experience art up close and personal.. . The intimate central square at the shops provides a wonderful way to spend a summer day. Come out early, see some art, talk the artists themselves about what you see.
