Chet was the village barber and the shop was equipped with showers for the lumberjacks to come in from the woods for a hot shower.
He was also an avid Democrat and held party meetings at the Loft on Main Street.
In the guest book it was found that his grandchildren had stayed here when our friend Stephen, the previous owner, first opened Artists Loft.
